At the south point on the northern island of New Zealand layes the capital Wellington. The 370,000 inhabitants counting metropolis is the most southern convenient capital of the world. In the case of its establishment 1840 the municipality counted 2,5 thousand citizens. The name of the city goes back to the British admiral, which defeated Napoleon with Waterloo - the duke of Wellington.
